Quick Specs

The Job

We’re hiring for an all-star PPC expert who is inherently passionate about paid traffic marketing, soaks up new information like a sponge, and loves sharing that information with clients and colleagues.

The Job:

You’ll be managing PPC campaigns for clients, assisting with digital marketing for our own brand (including content creation), keeping close watch on trends and search marketing news, and sharing that with the team and our audience.

If you are looking for a job where you can punch in and punch out, this is not the job for you. We are looking for someone who will truly be invested in their work.

If you truly love PPC and like having a lot of ownership over your work, this is definitely the job for you.

Requirements:

    • At least 1 years experience with managing PPC (especially Google Ads) or the ability to show true proficiency in the space.
    • Confident communicator who will create video content to support our written articles.
    • Focused, independent, driven, and hard working personality a must (though we’ll never make you work late or more than 40 hours per week)
    • Great team player – supportive, friendly, humble, and collaborative.

The Ideal Candidate

A Lifelong Learner Who Loves Paid Traffic.

If you don’t get excited by a ticket to HeroConf or don’t read PPC News, this position isn’t for you. We’re looking for someone who can stay on top of the latest industry trends and share that info with the team.

Strategic Vision:

When a campaign doesn’t work out the way you wanted it to, what is your reaction? Do your emotions impact your performance, or do you have the strategic vision to map your way out of a valley? Can you convey confidence to your clients?

A Great Teacher:

Can you help clients understand when a dip in CTR isn’t a bad thing? Can you help them understand how an increase in ad spend can lead to an increase in profit related to their target ROAS? Can you help a team member better understand a difficult concept?

Self-Driven:

Proactivity and internal drives are the key ingredients for being successful in this role. Are you good at knowing what needs to get done and have the organizational skills necessary to make sure it happens? The Search Scientists team are largely self-motivated and independent team members, who don’t need micromanagement to get stuff done.

Online Communication Skills:

Can you convey a friendly, confident attitude through email? Can you gently diffuse situations if there is a misunderstanding with a client?

Analytical Skills:

Do you feel like giving someone a high-five after you create a Pivot Table? Do you know when to use VLOOKUP? When you look at account level metrics, do you have the urge to dig deeper and find the real reasons for performance changes?

Salesmanship:

We are only as good as the client thinks we are. When things go well, can you link our work to increased performance? When things aren’t going well, can you get people on board with the vision to improve?

Ethical and Honest:

We’re proud to talk about what we do or who we work with at the dinner table with our families. We believe in offering a high-level of no-b.s. service to our clients. We’ll never work with a client we don’t think we can genuinely help, and we’ll never intentionally lead them in a direction that isn’t 100% in their best interests.

Technologically Inclined:

You don’t need instructions on how to take screenshots, and you’re interested in faster ways to do so.
